Who Are JSB?

Dear readers,

Thank you for visiting Jakarta Social Blog (and viewing this page). The blog was launched at 15th April 2008, dedicated to city’s socialites.

There are many emails asking who we are, and let us tell you this; we’re not designers, photographers (oh please, that’s impossible), public relation executives, event organizers, fashion editors and we don’t work at any magazines. We don’t always receive the invitations to the city’s most glamorous and dazzling parties, we don’t collect Birkins or obsessed with Creme de La Mers. We’re just people who are bored with celebrities and feel like we need to ‘uplift’ and ‘delight’ the high society. We do not have any bad intention or any motives. We can say that we’re inspired by the Park Avenue Peerage Blog and perhaps the late socialiterank.com.

How can we not love the socialites? “These are good girls who just happen to spend time donating to charities and dressing well,” said James Kurisunkal, and we absolutely agree with his statement.

Here are our favourite ladies; Adinda and Intania Bakrie, Livia Prananto, Jessica Nathalie, Bianca Maryulis, Dian Soedarjo, Julia Tanoyo, Veronica Pribadi, Poppy Hayono Isman, and many more!

New York is not the only city that hosts the glamour and glitters, Jakarta too!
