I can see where bleh is coming from. Its really sickening to see some anak-anak mentri gallivanting across town, having the times of the life in clubs, wearing the latest high fashion clothes and expensive watches and jewelries meanwhile oblivious to the damages their family have done to the poor. Putting people out of their homes and yet not doing their best to help them. But somehow in the society they are being celebrated. Has everyone forgotten about the lapindo disaster already?
Maybe if they invested the same kind of effort for those poor people as they have in their quest for living the life to the full with their fancy cars, private jets and mansions, hundreds won’t be suffering not to mention the death inevitably caused.
What a sad society we live in when you really think about it.

That’s beyond comical that someone would impersonate the Gossip Girls actresses. Little things to note among so many, like Leighton Meester would say “ckckck”, which only exists in the Indonesian vocabulary. If you want to impersonate people who can actually speak English, maybe you should take ESL (English as a Second Language) classes first.

there are two types of people socially, the poor one and the rich one.. no grey area. The idea of becoming rich is ‘work-hard’ . So ‘work hard’ if you wanna be rich. If ur dad isnt one of the rich people …then start from you and make your kids rich someday.

I think in life you have a choice to admire socialites or straight up philanthropists. Admire someone born/ marry into money and parade around in their designer duds in charity events, OR people like Oprah & Angelina Jolie who earn their own money and does the same charity work (and then some) without showing off the bling. I personally choose door #2. I guess I just represent your typical average struggling mom who doesn’t want her future daughter to live in a world where people are superficial & thinks your bag define who you are. I’d rather her admire people like Angelina Jolie than someone who got her birkin from Daddy’s money & never worked a day in their life.

Those people who attend every function in town, and I don’t really see what they gain out of it. They even complain how boring the functions are during their time there. But they continue this lifestyle for decades or more years. Why?
Easy to do when you are popular.. since think of all the people who would do anything to be your friend? When you grow up, you realize that you need to like the person you are. You need to be happy, and you need to be more concerned with yourself rather than what other people think about you. Popularity is not a bad thing. But not everybody is going to be popular. You need to be outgoing, friendly and likable – Some people are that way and some people are not. You have to act in control. Point is, don’t be so desperate lah!

wow, i never knew such blog existed. no offense, i don’t think it’s ‘necessary’ to ‘recognize’ the so-called socialites of Indonesia. I do think it’s a bit sad to measure someone in life by their status/what they have/what they CAN buy with their money.
Of course, my cousin is on the list. But I must admit, this cousin of mine is great. I believe most of you have been to these places he built. He’s a ’socialite’ (or whatever you want to call it) by birth and by achievements. so I’m so so proud of him.
Anyhoo, I seriously think there is NO POINT on exposing these Upper East Siders wannabes. Sure, it works in NY (or Gossip Girl, for that matter) but it sure does not work in Indo – especially when you realized how big the social gap is in Indo… don’t you think it will create bigger gaps?

What does a college degree got to do with this, getting to be in a good college doesn’t mean you are fit and capable of surviving life. so whats up with this blog, its definitely just a bunch of nuisance, nobody knows what they have done, or will do next.. they are just people with a long list of debts and credit bills I don’t think they even understand what they were taught in college back then, I think they got in, but I don’t think they end up getting the degrees, they got kicked out maybe?. I think the authors should stop pretending, I know Babson grads would do something better than wasting their lives on this blog.

on Franka Franklin.. I went to school with her. Ya anak nya biasa2 aja sih waktu di sekolah.. ngga pinter2 amat juga. tapi ngga pernah tinggal kelas juga. Kalo soal temenan nya sama siapa sih, dulu waktu skolah biasa kan kalo suka ada gank2 gitu.. dia punya gank sendiri lah bersama dengan teman2nya yang mostly orang berada. But nobody has the rights to tell other people who you should be friends with, eh? Tapi yang gw kaget adalah fakta bahwa dia ikut masuk dalam ‘jakarta/indonesia socialite list’.. sering liat foto2nya di fesbuk sama temen2nya.. gw pikir mreka ngga terkenal.. hahaha apparently they’re famous ..on the league of their own, that is.
One thing I can say about this high-life of the so-called socialites is.. it’s a harsh harsh world, where looking good is mandatory and partying hard is on the top of your priority list. Not to forget being talked about by people who are totally irrelevant to them. Being dirty rich and famous is not always easy – that’s for sure.

jadi gini, gue ini orang biasa.. biasa banget malah.. ortu kerja ama orang. sekarang ini gue pacaran ama someone yang.. bukan dari kalangan socialite sih, cuma kalo gue baca2 postingan diatas.. ya gaya hidupnya mirip2.. yang jelas dia emang jauh lebih berada dari gue.. gue suka cape ngikutinnya.. selain gengsi lelaki gue tercabik2(karena sering dibayarin kalo udah ketempat2 yang mahal).. gue gak mau terkesan manfaatin. dia sih ga masalah, guenya yang masalah, cuma mau ditahan gak bisa karena emang udah kebiasaan dia gitu. tried that (ngajak makan di warteg and nonton di mall kelas B deket kampus).. dia mau, tapi keliatan kesiksa, keliatan banget. gak tega gue..
gue sih pede2 aja diajak ktemu ama temen2nya.. temen2nya juga rata2 gak snobbish bahkan baik banget kok even setelah tau kondisi gue kek gimana.. padahal mereka levelan dia semua.. mau yang cowo, yang cewe, atau yang gak dua2nya (lho?).. bahkan temen dia yang cowo2 sering nelponin gue ngajak biliar lah, basket lah, atau sekedar minum2 santai. dijemput n dibayarin pula. dan mereka semua respect ama gue.. ya gitulah kira2.. gue mah gak perduli ama kondisi gue yang timplang banget ama dia.. gue sih gak miskin2 banget juga, cukup2 aja sih, tapi kalo buat gaya hidup glamor, waow!nyerah deh.. tapi intinya buat gue dia udah mau ama gue ya udah.. dia tau resiko apapun yang bisa timbul dari hubungan gue ama dia..
i love her, she loves me.. ortu juga udah saling kenal karena kita emang udah serius. kiri-kana udah oke..
cuma, lately gue ada pemikiran :
1. kalau gue mulai dari bawah, bisa gak ya dia ngikutin, bisa apa dia nerima kenyataan itu? gue sih ada lah keinginan buat kaya, lebih2 sekarang.. setelah gue merasakan hidup seperti itu.. ada sisi diri gue yang jadi “ter-upgrade” dengan sendirinya, yang tadinya nerimo2 aja.. gak ngotot2 banget pengen tajir.. sekarang jadi pengen.. karena emang enak kok punya banyak duit itu.. gak munafik..
2. iya gue tau lah dia cinta ma gua, semua orang juga bisa liat, cuma kalau menikah nanti.. ini bisa jadi masalah gak ya? biar gimana kan dia biasa hidup enak, dan gue OGAH minta ma bokapnya.. pasti gue nuntut dia ngikutin gue untuk awal gue ngebangun.. soalnya banyak orang bilang, nikah itu akhirnya banyakan logikanya.
3. gue sayang bener ama dia, dan gue gak mau dia kesiksa, gue udah bersumpah mau ngasih dia hidup kalo bisa lebih dari hidupnya sekarang, tapi pasti butuh waktu karena gue dari noL.. apakah dia bisa bersabar?
gue lagi skripsi, dia udah minta banget gue nikahin dia setelah gue lulus, tapi gue minta waktu berpikir.. versi resminya sih gue bilang gue mau stabil dulu dari segi pemasukan.. cuma versi sebenarnya dalam hati.. gue sayang ama dia dan gue gak mau dia ampe salah pilih.. karena nanti kalau sudah nikah hubungan berantakan.. yang jadi korban bakalan lebih banyak.. keluarga lah, anak mungkin.. to be honest sekarang gue lagi on a bad terms ama dia.. karena lately kalo dia mengkhayal2 soal pernikahan.. yang tadinya gue antusias menanggapinya karena baru awal2 jadian.. sekarang setelah bisa berpikir jernih, baru bisa mikir begini.. dan akhirnya kalo dia lagi ngebahas gue jadi ngangguk2 doang.. gak antusias dan akhirnya kita berantem gede 3 hari yang lalu.. dia nanya what’s wrong with me.. akhirnya gue buka semua pemikiran gue.. dan dia bilang ternyata gue meremehkan dia, dia berasa gue nganggep dia berpemikiran cetek banget karena gue nganggepnya gitu.. aduhh.. padahal sih gak gitu.. justru gue mikir kedepan.. dan gue nyoba buka pikiran dia biar gak ketutupan sama cinta buta doang tapi pake logika juga.. yah intinya sih.. gue lagi berpikir, berpikir, dan berpikir.. apakah bisa? apakah tidak bisa? or what? should i stay or should i go?

Daisy said, the Malaysian royalty had forcefully taken her daughter away in a private jet from Saudi Arabia, where the family had gone to perform the umrah (pilgrimage) three months ago. Fajarina added that She had also tried to come to Malaysia to track down her daughter but alleged that she was denied entry at the “request of the Kelantan palace.
Daisy, who claims to have evidence of her daughter being abused, had also sought the help of the Indonesian Foreign Ministry. “My child has been tortured; her chest has been cut with a razor. This is what people in the palace who were sympathetic with our plight have told me,” Daisy said. A teenage US-Indonesian model has returned to her family in Indonesia with tales of abuse, rape and torture at the hands of a Malaysian prince, after her dramatic escape with the help of Singapore police.
Manohara Odelia Pinot, 17, told reporters she was treated like a sex slave after her marriage to Tengku Temenggong Mohammad Fakhry, the prince of Malaysia’s Kelantan state, last year.
Her mother, Daisy Fajarina, said she would press charges against the 31-year-old prince, and blamed the Malaysian and Indonesian governments for trying to cover up the alleged abuse.
“The things I’ve been afraid of were revealed to be true. Manohara has suffered physical abuse. She’s got several razor cuts on her chest,” Fajarina told AFP on Monday.
“No parent could be silent if their child was treated in such a barbaric way.”
The Malaysian government had ignored her pleas for access to her daughter and had blocked her from entering the country, she said, while the Indonesian embassy had said that Manohara was fine with her new husband.
But the young woman — a well-known socialite in Jakarta — said her life at the royal palace involved a “daily routine” of rape, abuse, torture and occasional drug injections that made her vomit blood.
She said she was usually held under guard in her bedroom at the palace and was injected with tranquilisers whenever she complained.
“I am still traumatised by all that happened and it has left an impact on me,” she told reporters in Jakarta on Sunday, after escaping the royal family during a trip to Singapore over the weekend.
“Sexual abuse and sexual harassment were like a daily routine for me, and he did that every time I did not want to have sexual intercourse,” she was quoted as saying in The Jakarta Globe.
“I could never think a normal man could do such things,” she said, adding: “Some parts of my body were cut by a razor.”
The teenager whose fairy-tale wedding to a prince captured the imagination of Indonesia said she would be tortured if she did not appear to be happy when she attended social functions with Fakhry.
“Every time I went for events they forced me to smile and would torture me if I did not do what they said,” she told the press conference.
She said she secretly called Singaporean police and pleaded for help after the royal family took her to the city state when they accompanied Fakhry’s father, Sultan Ismail Petra Shah II, for medical treatment.
“The police told Fakhry that he would be held in jail if he did not let me go. No one could force me against my will in Singapore and I knew I had a chance to escape,” she said.
The model once voted as being among Indonesia’s “100 Precious Women” said she escaped her guards by pushing the Singapore hotel elevator’s emergency button.
They were reluctant to chase her because they knew the scene would be captured on security cameras.
She blasted the Indonesian embassy in Malaysia, saying: “They made it worse by telling lies, saying that I was fine while I was suffering in Kelantan.”
A spokesman for the Indonesian foreign ministry insisted the embassy had done everything it could to help Manohara and said the government would assist her if she wanted to file charges against her husband.
Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the government would not investigate the claims.
“I think this is more of a personal matter. To date we have not been dragged into it, so we want to leave it as it is,” he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia’s royal rulers used to enjoy immunity from criminal and civil charges but the privilege was removed in 1993.
There has been no comment from the Kelantan royal family.
Manohara’s lawyer, Yuri Darmas, said she would have a medical examination to back up her allegations of abuse.
“We need one to two days to gather evidence before we file a lawsuit to the Malaysian police,” he said, adding that he intended to pursue both criminal and civil lawsuits against the prince.
Manohara has already filed for divorce, her mother said.

Sewaktu masih tinggal bersama ayahnya Jessica itu masih hidup disiplin tapi setelah tingga sm ibunya yg namanya Esther, hidupnya ga ada bedanya sama Gracia, yah well mendingan sih dr gracia ataupun nesya.

just out of curiosity., how much will it cost to take out a socialite hottie on a date? i bet it’s a lot since i’m regularly “only” spent about 300-500k each date rarely., mostly i only spent 100k-150k., since there’s a lot of negative responses from socialite to people who against them in this forum., i’m gonna say this, i got nothing against socialite or non-socialite by asking this, i just curious because i never have girl THAT rich., well., with the budget i have, it’s not a surprise rite? hahaha..
